Complete Satisfaction

When I am down and troubled,
I call to You, my Lord.
You saved me from distress,
In You I cling and hold.

I have a deep longing,
Deep within my soul,
This world can’t satisfy,
So to you I pray and call.

This longing deep within me,
You have completely satisfied.
Like deep waters that fill me,
I am blessed and filled inside!

We call to God when we are in great distress because nothing and no one else could really fill the longing in our soul. We have great hunger and thirst in times of distress. We have a longing that permeates our soul. The truth is, it is God alone who could truly satisfy our longing deep within. God gives us complete satisfaction. And it is enduring and strong. It is not flimsy and fickle. God is able to satisfy us with the kind of satisfaction that reaches the core of our soul.

When we face trials and distress, let us be confident to call on God for salvation. He will fill our soul with satisfaction. When we wander in the wilderness, let us put our trust in God who can lead us to the right way.

“Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for hus loving kindness endures forver. Lef the redernef by Yahweh says so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of adversary, and gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the weet, from the north and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way. They found no city to live in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in then. Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. He led them also by a straight way, that yheh might go to a city to live in. Let them praise Yahweh for his lovingkindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men! For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul for good.”
