Someone Cares

Support means a lot when we need it most. Just the presence or the listening ear can wash away tons of weights that bring us down. Whenever I feel down and worried, I look for a friend who can listen without judgement. A friend who could take all the things that my mouth spills out from a down trodden heart and weary mind. A friend who would just listen and take it all as it is without judging me. Such support is very much important whenever we feel down because it shows that someone cares for the heavy cares we carry.

Give your worries and cares to God. It is God alone who can listen without judgement. He loves and he offers help in every cares we have. Sometimes, a family member or a well-meaning friend, could not ease up the worries we feel even with their encouraging words. At times, still, there are those around us who could not simply relate to how we feel. There are also those who could misinterpet our worries and cares in life leading us to more burden than before. Yet, in God, we can be confident that He cares for us. We can trust Him to help us carry our burdens. “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30. Jesus invites the weary to come to Him because He offers rest. He can give us rest from the cares that weigh us down because in Him, the yoke becomes easy and light. Whatever holds us down or whatever care that heavily weighs on our shoulder will become easier to carry. It wil not be a burden anymore. Jesus relieves us from the weight of the worry. Why would He do that? Because Jesus cares for us. He cares what we are going through for He loves us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). Jesus teaches us, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’” – Matthew 6:25-31. Jesus is saying that we do not have to be worried about anything because He sees our needs and He has always been faithful to provide that even the birds and flowers are faithfully clothed and fed by Him. Not even one of them is forsaken, so what more are we! Someone cares, and it is the Lord Jesus Christ! He always cares. He is always there.

  1. I am really enjoying the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility problems? A number of my blog audience have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any ideas to help fix this problem?
