Victory

Victory is such a sweet word. You picture joy and triumph! A day of exultation. But it is not everyday that you feel victorious. There are days in your life when you wake up and you just want to be alone. You want to drown out the pain. You want to escape from the nagging feelings and thoughts that assail you. Where is victory in this?

In God, however, you are not alone. He promised to not leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He promised to give you rest. “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”– Matthew 11:28-30. He give you victory through Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). You can trust him that what He says is true. For the Word of God is true and righteous (Psalm 119:160).

Respond to Him in humility and trust. His love for you is everlasting (Jeremiah 31:3). He will not allow anything that is not for your growth and well-being. Know that whatever you struggle with, God goes with you. In Him alone is victory!
