Look from the Inside

We sometimes tend to look at the outside and not from within. It is because of this that we easily give in to comparing ourselves to others. We compare what we can do and and how much we achieved to what others can do and how much they achieved. Unwittingly, we have not realized soon enough that this manner of thinking leads only to pride or false humility. We end up thinking we do better than the other person. It is not looking at others that should run our life but looking within. How we live our life is our foremost concern. It should be our concern too to hone our moral values as we grow and live with others. Above all it should be our foremost concern to please God in the way we live. “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”- Ecclesiastes 12:13. By looking at these things and putting God as the center of our life, we learn to live humbly. Not seeking our own pleasure and honor but seeking to live in harmony with others. For God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).

So I would like to share this poem to you today. 💗

One Day

One day, a time will come and you will see
That the gross you try to point in me
Is not even the gross you see that is me
But the gross that you are and can’t see!

One day, a time will come and you will see
When you carelessly spoke against me;
They wound and scar but still I’m free!
It’s you who’s always bound; never free!

One day, a time will come and you will see
You look down on me; eyes too haughty!
You look up to you; so high and mighty!
You never done wrong; walking blindly!

One day, a time will come and you will see
That what you do and say is who you’ll be!
Not others matter but you and you only!
Give care, respect; after all they’re free.
