The world is a crossroad of truths and choices. It tries to strongly convince people that truth is subjective and relative. It brings philosophy to a more personal level by tolerating what is true to one person even if it is not moral or godly as long as it brings pleasure and happiness. The world says it is okay as long as you are happy. It can be pretty confusing who to follow and where to follow, who is right and what is right, or which way to go? How can a Christian thrive in this kind of setting? For a Christian there is only one truth and one standard of truth. It is God. To know and understand God’s truth, a Christian needs to know the Word of God, the Bible, so well. Much like when you want to ace your Science or Mathematics class that you spend grueling time reading, studying, and practicing what you learn. There is no other truth for a Christian. God and His Word alone is the truth.
“Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth.” – John 17:17 (WEB)
Choose the way of truth. There are always choices that you need to choose from. But when you are led by God’s Spirit, you can see the way clearly. Your eyes are opened, your ears are keen, and your understanding is deepened. You can see beyond of things. You can understand the consequences. You have the wisdom guided by the Word of God. Even when there are too many principles and philosophies juggling around you, you do not get confused and you know what road to take and where your path is. And if there are situations that can be too hard to understand and too confusing to know what to do, there is the best and safest way to decide. Choose the way of truth. What is the way of truth? It is Jesus Christ alone. Choose Jesus, His way, His Word, and His principles.
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’” – John 14:6 (WEB)
“Keep me from the way of deceit. Grant me your law graciously! I have chosen the way of truth. I have set your ordinances before me.” -Psalm 119:29-30 (WEB)
Choosing to follow Jesus will never lead you astray. You will not get lost. You always have the smartest GPS of life in your hand. The greatest compass. The excellent counselor. Let Jesus lead the way.

That’s exactly right, the only way to thrive in life and be at peace is aligning with truth and being willing to accomodate ourselves to it rather than expecting it to adjust itself to us, even if this entails letting go of traditions that we are emotionally clinging to.
Division and confusion arise because people are looking for a truth that suits them
