Forgiven

Sin is the reason for brokenness, dischord, and anything that is ugly and displeasing. Where sin resides, hate and chaos abound. Sin breaks the ultimate plan of God but sin lost its battle against God Almighty. Sin has no power over lives that live in surrender to God. Sin cannot overpower surrendered people. Those whose lives are living in obedience and reliance to God live in faith and faith with obedience to God lead to victory. Those whose sins are forgiven no matter how great and huge they may be, they experience the life of blessedness. God can forgive our sins. It is not the gravity of the sin but our faith in Jesus Christ that God looks at. God forgives and saves us from sins.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

Tell it to God. Do not cover the sin. The more sin is being hidden, the more it will stink and give off foul smell that it could not be hidden anymore.

Sins are meant to be confessed to God. When we come to God in repentance and seek His forgiveness. He will forgive and cleanse us from sin.

“Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh doesn’t impute iniquity, in whose spirit there is no deceit. When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.”

The consequence of hidden and unconfessed sins is a life without peace and joy. The psalmist said that keeping silent without confessing his sins to God made him groan all day long.

What sin entangles you now? What sin do you still keep and hide? Do not be afraid to approach God and give him all the sinfulness you have and allow Him to wash you as white as snow. Confess your sins to God and repent. God calls everyone to repentance.

Repentance is putting faith into action by turning away from our sins completely. It is being renewed or transformed in our minds that enables us to walk in liberty. Come boldy to God’s throne because the work of Jesus Christ on the cross had long been completed. We can be free from sin and be forgiven. We are blessed when God forgives us from sin. What a great eternal blessing that is!
