The lines of the song, The God Who Stays by Matthew West, is as real as life itself. It mirrors what most of us feel at times — insecure, inadequate, and worthless. It says, “If I were You, I would’ve given up on me by now, I would’ve labeled me a lost cause, cause I feel just like a lost cause… I feel like I’m beyond repair. But somehow You don’t see me like I do.. You’re the God who stays, You’re the One who runs in my direction when the whole world walks aways.” Wow, such truth in these words! When we experience God’s amazing grace this is exactly how we feel. We are accepted and loved by our Savior! God does not see us as we see ourself. Hee sees us hrough the eyes of love and forgiveness we have through Jesus Christ his Son. Even when the world treats us like trash, God picks us up and embraces us with His great love. No one can ever compare with God’s kind of love for us! Nothing can ever separate us from His love. His Word says, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:37-39.
