Fast paced life seems to be a trend as years go by. The more instant things happen, the easier life is. Waiting is out of the picture. We move too fast. We decide too fast. We even eat too fast. Afraid that we will be late for the next class, the next meeting, or the next appointment. We seek to rush plans we have and decisions we make. Sadly, even relationships and commitments become a fast decision. There is really no need to be hasty in our every day life much more in dealing with our plans for the future. We need to wait and let time run its course. Allowing this natural flow enables us to think through of the actions we do and act wisely before embarking onto anything rushly. This is very important when we trust God to work in us and through us. We have to rest on his time frame and not on ours. We learn to wait for his timing and not our timing. This teaches us not only to know how to wait but to be patient in the process. It teaches us to trust him fully. It is sometimes difficult to trust his timing because God’s timing is different from ours. Moreover, God’s idea of time is not like how we view time and how we think things should be. But for someone who placed his faith in God, he is assured of how loving God is that no matter when or what His timing is, it is always the best one.
