I thought I can stand alone
In the middle of life I call my own
But soon I learned that I can't
Storms of life push me to bend.
I thought I'm fine on my own
Thinking that I can go on
With the way I want to live
But soon I learned, it's God I need.
I thought I am able and strong
To obey God and do no wrong
But how wrong I was all along
I need God and Him alone!
Sometimes we get obscured by many destructions in life. We divert away from the target. Then soon, we forget to rely on God, and like the time before we came to know Christ and followed Him, we reverted to living independently of God. We become self-loving and self-dependent. Then, we become too cocky with our obedience to God. Because we know what the Bible says and we know much about the things of God, we started to believe that we could journey on the road of God’s kingdom with our wit and motivation. As we continue to walk on, we realize there can never be a meaningful and worthwhile journey without God walking with us. We have left God and insisted on walking alone. When the road became too narrow, too rocky, and when it started to turn uphill, we knew right away that we need God’s help.

Here’s the truth. We can never obey God without Him working in us. We can never do the will of God for us without relying on God. We need to stay in God to be kept bound by His presence and His will.
“Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you , unless you remain in me.
– John 15:4-5 (WEB)
I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
Growing in Christ, obeying Him, and glorifying Him is only possible when we fully rely on God. We should remain in Him and humbly submit to Him as our Lord. It is through Him alone that we can bear fruits for the kingdom that pleases God. We must always remember, apart from God, we can do nothing.
Let’s remain in God. Stay in His presence, in His Word, and His will.
Amen! ♥️♥️♥️ Let us be humble and allow God to fulfill His plans for our lives. 😊

There is no place I’d rather be, but there are times I still wander a step behind, aside, or in front of him.

I could definitely relate. And when we wander away, God remains faithful. He makes a way to draw us nearer to Him.
Thank you, Donna 🥰
