We are groaning in this world
Like throes of birth pains
Weary mind, exhausted heart
A thirsty soul within.
We are too busy, always busy
Our minds never rest,
We care for so many things
Not knowing we're so blessed.
Nothing is enough, no never too much.
We like, want, and desire for more,
This and that, things and such.
We end up with more yet so less,
Appearing filled, yet starving,
Looking good, but poor inside,
Having a lot, but more is lacking.
Poor souls, in truth.
Searching for that rest of spirit,
Craving for peace of mind,
That makes the weariness go,
The loneliness subside,
And only peace within show.
We can have this peace,
It's no secret where to find,
It's in Jesus Christ, our Savior,
He said: "Peace, I leave with you.
My peace I give to you.
Not as the world gives,
Give I to you.
Don't let your heart be troubled,
Neither let it be fearful!"
Jesus cast away all fears,
He carries all our troubles.
His peace is unlike of this world,
He gives it all, and bless us double!
The rarest find in this world is peace. The world can give peace and promote peace, but only Jesus Christ gives peace that drives the troubles away. The peace of God overcomes our fears.
Jesus Christ gives peace that is true and satisfying. It brings comfort that permeates our spirit and soul.
What is it that makes you fearful today? Is there anything that troubles you? Is there any news or bad report that weighs you down? Don’t be. Cast your cares to the Lord. Jesus said not to let our hearts be troubled or fearful. We have to stand by faith and reject anxiousness and fear! We must take hold of the peace of God that He gives through the Lord Jesus Christ.
When troubling thoughts and feelings whisper to you, be deaf to their voices. When fear comes snaking at you, shut the door! Dwell on the peace of God in you. Don’t let your heart be troubled!
“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.”
– John 14:27 (WEB)
“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
– Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)
The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.”
The very thing I need to hear right now. Thank you Jesus ❤️❤️❤️

I am so grateful Jesus does not give us peace like the world does- fleeting, but instead gives us his everlasting peace.
