Yahweh is Your Keeper

God, the Great I AM, is our keeper! It gives us assurance that we are held, surrounded, and secured by the Most High God. The God who is everlasting, all-powerful, all-encompassing, self-sufficient, and sovereign keeps us in His watchful and loving presence.

When we are worried for our safety, provision, and health, we can readily come to God for help. He is Yahweh! His name speaks the truth of He is. Yahweh exactly and completely meets us in every sepcific need we have.

I frequently marvel at how great and amazing God is! He listens and provides even the simplest of things that our heart desires. When I pray to God for a bit of rest and relaxation from a tiring schedule, He provides for me the perfect natural escape without me having the need to devise a way to back off from work. When I crave for chocolate or fruits, amazingly, a friend would send me the chocolates or apples or bananas I have been imagining about. When I need wisdom or a speedy bright idea for the work I am doing, my prayer is always instantly answered. Whenever I am down, every thing I read in blogs here in WordPress, in facebook, in LinkedIn, or in any sites I happen to browse would be the exact encouragement and Word that I needed to hear or read! His faithfulness is infinite from the smallest need to the biggest need. Truly, there is no impossible need with God. He can arrange things in our day to day life to fit in to His will for us. He works all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

We are in the safest place we could ever be when we are in God. His protection is sure. He keeps His eye on us whether we are awake or asleep. Therefore, we can fully trust God to help us.

Psalms 121 tells us why we could trust God to help us.

• God is your Creator who made heaven and earth. What else is too difficult for Him?
• God will not allow your foot to be moved.
• God does not slumber. He remains awake and watchful every second of time.
• God is your keeper.
• God is your shade on your right hand. Nothing can harm you.
• God will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.
• He will keep your going out and your coming in.

What else is more comforting and sure as the Word of God? The times are evil and danger is around, but we remain safe and at peace because we have great hope in His protection, provision, and salvation. His Word is our source of hope, strength, and encouragement. We can hold fast to His Word because His Word is truth.

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.”
