Who Do You Say is Christ?

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”

Luke 9:20 (WEB)
If Jesus would ask
“Who do you say that I am?”
I say, you’re my God,
My gracious King,
My everlasting Father,
My precious Friend,
My great Physician,
My faithful Provider,
My Prince of Peace,
My wise Counselor,
My strength in all,
My life-changer,
My hope-Giver,
My waymaker,
My miracle worker,
My Lord, my Savior!

Who is Jesus Christ to you? I have learned how frail I am as a human and how fickle I can be. But Jesus stays true, faithful, and loving in every season of my life. His Word stays true at all times. He has never left me even in those times when my feelings told me He’s far. I still knew He’s there.

I have learned that no matter what I see, feel, and think, I must choose to trust Jesus. He is the loving Shepherd who sees all from beginning to the end and from eternity to eternity. I must choose to trust Jesus because my understanding is narrow and imperfect. His way is perfect, just, righteous, and loving!

I have realized that no matter how difficult the situation, God is sovereign. I may not be able to see all things now or understand everything, but it’s okay. As long as I know that who holds me has perfect love for me, I am secure that I am in good hands!

I knew that I can never be good enough without God. I can never do things out of a pure heart without God. I can never have pure intentions without God. I can’t live a satisfied life without God. In all things, I need God!

So, when we thirst, let’s thirst for God. When we hunger, let’s hunger for God! He satisfies everyone who searches Him.
