My SOS

I know
I am confident.
When troubles arise
You hear my cries.

I know
I believe.
When troubles come
You keep me calm.

I know
I am sure.
When troubles roar
Your peace will soar.

I know
Yes, I know.
When troubles be
You stay with me.

God is our help in every trouble we face. Like a ship in distress signaling an SOS, we also have troubled times that prompt us to send an SOS to God. Each time, God is present to help us. He never abandons us. He does not ignore our calls although there may be times when it appears like God is ignoring us or that God is deaf to our call for rescue. But, faith in God, convicts us to stick with the truth and not to believe the lies that our feelings can create. We live by faith in God and not by sight, therefore, we know the truth that God remains faithful and He hears our call. He also answers faithfully and lovingly, even when we may not be able to immediately recognize God’s answer to our call.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling.

  1. There have been times where I feel like I’m on a deserted island and want to make a huge SOS out of fallen trees and light it on fire! But all I have to do is reach out to God who is always listening and eager to help!
