The Lord is my Strength

We need strength from day to day. The sure and unfailing strength comes from the LORD. Whatever challenges we face that pull us down will not prevail because when God is our strength, He makes our feet like that of the deer, able to move up the hill and sure-footed. We don’t easily slip down. The slope of life does not gravitate us downward for God’s strength is mightier.

This poem speaks of how God keeps us strong and surefooted to move us high up.

I look around me
Forces surround
Like tides uprising
But I stand my ground.

I sense the pressure
Crashing hard on me
As winds of grandeur
But with faith I see.

I carry my troubles
Hardened by life
Days are squabbles
But in God I hide.

I have many challenges
Some too great for me
Like lightning flashes
But I pray unceasingly.

I fear that I’ll fall
Or that I will fail
Like floods breaking wall
But I’m the head, not the tail.

Many difficulties arise
But God is my strength
He gives me feet that rise
And moves me high to stand.

When God is our strength, we put complete reliance on Him to make a way, supply whatever need we have, and make miracles happen in difficult situations we find challenging. When God is our strength, no burden is too heavy, no problem is too big, and no ordeal is too difficult. God is our way-maker!

“Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength. He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and enables me to go in high places.”

  1. 💜 My “Strength” is from My Mother 👩 , Goddess, The Lady; as The “Lord” My Male Biological Progenitor, My Father, is Dead after Planting Seeds in many Ladies, Goddess, and then Walking Away from His, The “Lords” Accountabilities and Responsibilities
