Let Me Love You, Lord (A Poem)

I might look at poverty in the eye,
Suffer lack with a hopeful sigh,
I may feel down and ready to cry,
But Lord let me love you without asking why!

I might taste ease even from birth,
See abundance and robust of health,
I may enjoy all the things I held,
But Lord let me love you more than wealth!

I might stumble and fall down,
Show disappointment with a frown,
I may feel no beauty and no crown,
But Lord let me love you all around!

I might have hidden painful past,
Things I regret, I wanted to brush,
I may feel small like dirty dusts,
But Lord let me love you with no buts!

I may have knowledge and skill,
Feel confident and do what I will,
I may accomplish something big deal,
But Lord let me love only you for real!

I may be certain of what I want,
Driven by ambition I always hunt,
I may gain success, nothing I can’t,
But Lord let me love your every “don’t”!

      1. Wow super nice! Aside from the rhyme and the thought itself. Bien bale pkilaya ya aregla, twice gad yo ya le kay amazing man gad pirmi el conclusion kada part, let me love without asking why, le me love you more than wealth, let me love you all around, let me love you without buts, let me love you only for real, and let me love your every don’t. This is the kind of love God truly deserves. This is true love. Of all of these, im still working on the last part, His every don’t, though im always trying my best, kaya lng c ta liga el tiempo, tan tampo yo.
