Great is the Father’s Love

God’s great love is demonstrated when we were made His children. It is common belief and common thing to hear that we are children of God. But has it sunk in to you how great and amazing that is? Has it ever caused you to feel honored and privileged?

When God made you His child through faith in Jesus Christ, that should cause you to feel honored and loved! A holy, perfect, powerful God who thinks of you as His own. An awesome, faithful, mighty God who calls you His child. The Creator, Healer, King of kings, and Lord of lords, is your Father!

He loves the imperfect, sinful, weak you. He loves you enough to take you out of that sinful state through death on the cross and bring you hope, future, peace, and joy in life! Such great love. Such amazing love the Father has for you and me.

“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained, what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor.

– Psalms 8:3-5 (WEB)

“But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

– John 1:12-13 (WEB)

The world does not know the children of God. Just as the world did not know Jesus and had rejected Him, so it is with all those who follow after Jesus Christ as their Lord.

“He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own, and those who were his own didn’t receive him.

– John 1:10-11 (WEB)

It is a blessed life to live for Jesus but it is also a life of daily faith and reliance to God. The fruits that Christians bear through the workings of the Holy Spirit are so contrasting to the ways of the world that the world would not always appreciate it. There will be times when Christians will experience opposition, rejection, and hate. In extreme cirumstances, there are Christians who are being killed because of their faith. For others, the oppositions are not as cruel or as great as these but there are silent messages, cold shoulders, raised eyebrows, and whispers behind the backs that would tell us somehow that there are times when we do what pleases God, not all people are happy with that. Some feels offended. But oh the joy and the blessing we experience when we obey the Lord Jesus Christ!

“See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.”

– 1 John 3:1 (WEB)

Let us not expect the world to recognize God’s children when it did not recognize God. Do not be surprised but continue to dwell in the great love of the Father. They may not recognize God and may not recognize the children of God, but they are not enemies. They need Jesus and they need the light of God. May every child of God continue to bring Jesus’ love and His light to all they meet.

  1. Agree! They may reject us but they are not enemies. In our best way, let us try to share Jesus to them in every opportunity that we have. I always believe that like in a tv commercial, people will believe if there is a result, once they see it, automatically, they will ask about it, this is the principle i chose to follow in sharing Jesus to the world, i want the world to see through my life how great is the Lord I’m serving.. so far, it is very effective. People would always tell me, (many times and in many occasions, palangga daw yo del Senyor kay tan answer gad myo prayer, so they would really reach out to me for prrayer requests, and when they do that, I introduce Jesus to them and how i enjoy having a relationship with Him). Let us continue to share Jesus to others. I want to honor Jesus by obeying His commands.❤️❤️❤️

Thank you mam Debbie for today’s encouragement! I love you.😘
