Your faith is meant to be shared. Faith is not just a belief on a created being you call God or you call “the man up there” or others even call him G. It is a deep conviction and committed obedience in the God whose name is Jesus. This faith you have in Jesus is meant to be shared. It should not be hidden. It is meant to grow and bloom. It is meant to include others in the joyful experience of transformation, healing, and blessing.
“You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
– Matthew 5:14-16 (WEB)
“For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek. For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”
– Romans 1:16-17 (WEB)
Have your faith made a stir? You may not have created a noise or attracted a huge number of followers, but in one way or another, your faith should have been able to reach another soul and inspire others to look to God.
When God promised Israel that a time will come when they will experience joyfulness and peace, God said that there will also be a time when people shall come to Jerusalem and shall search for them because they heard that God was with them (Zechariah 8).
Yahweh of Armies says: “In those days, ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, ‘We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’ ”
– Zechariah 8:23 (WEB)
It did happen when multitudes of Gentiles placed their faith in Jesus through the ministry of Apostle Paul. Up to this time, Christians around the globe continue to grow and share the gospel of Jesus in small or big communities and even in global scale.
We meet some people who inspire us to live in faith and live by faith. Some of them are not even aware of the impact they have on us. When I was growing up, I met some persons of faith. Their lives have blessed me so much that I told myself, I want to have that kind of faith too. These people did not approach me to talk about their faith. I have just seen them in their ordinary days. How they live their life, how they associate with others, how they react in conflict, how they behave in every circumstance, and how joyful they are. And I said, God must be truly with them. I want to be like them.
They made a stir in their faith. They shine as lights in the world not because they are a show-off or that they talk about God all the time, but because they bear the fruit of the Spirit in their lives. Their faith demonstrates godliness, faithfulness, love, and grace in their walks.
May our faith in Jesus spur others to say, “I will go with you for I have heard God is with you.”

Good post Deborah! When we do the maths, seeing how much our Lord and Saviour has done for us, our response can be nothing less than our all. Preaching the Gospel is more than just words, it is also acts of love and care for others. By this people recignise our Lord in our actions (Acts 4:13).

Amen to that brother Alan.
Thank you for your thoughts. From what you said, I remember one of my favorite hymns, “I wonder have I done my best for Jesus? … to think of His great sacrifice at calvary, I know my Lord has done so much for me. How many are the souls that I have lifted? How many are the chains I’ve helped to free?” Yes, seeing how much God has done for us, He deserves nothing less. 🙏🏻❤️

Deborah, yes our faith is meant to be shared, and not just in words, but by how we live day after day after day. Some people think that just living what they think is the Christian life is enough and so they don’t verbally share Jesus with others, but the Scriptures teach we need to do both. Yes, people can see by how we live our lives if we have faith or not, but they won’t know what that faith is unless we speak it to them. But we should not be hypocritical, for we must live what we speak, too, not in absolute perfection, but in consistent walks of faith and obedience to our Lord. Our walk needs to match our talk and our talk needs to match our walk. We need to be consistent in both speech and actions to share Jesus with the world around us. Amen! Thank you so much for sharing this!! Love you! Sue
