Living for God’s Applause

God is the only audience you really need to impress. I was once caught up with pleasing people and trying to portray a good image all the time. Guess what? It never really do good. It does not give lasting happiness. Much more real peace in life. But when I started pleasing the only audience Who matter and the only One audience who care about me and what I am doing, I started to live a more meaningful life. God is the only audience we need to pay attention to and to give our best foot forward at all times. He is the only One we need to please and all else will follow. “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.” – Proverbs 29:25.

Seek the approval of God and not of man. This is the very thing that we should seek as we live our life. This is the wisest thing that we can do. And this is the very thing that a person who lives for God will seek to do. “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” – Galatians 1:10. Apostle Paul said if he us seeking to please man and not God, he is not really a servant of God. When we live for God, seeking God’s approval becomes our life’s theme. Pleasing God and seeking for His applause alone are the things that would matter most. “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,” – Colossians 3:23. A life surrendered to Jesus Christ acknowledges only one audience. It is God. A life surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ finds pleasure in the greater applause. The applause of God. It may not be a thunderous applause as the crowds’ but it is the only applause that lasts for eternity. It is the only applause that truly matters and that has significance beyond the temporal things.
