Jesus is Always the Reason

Christmas is about Jesus! ‘Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel’ (which means, God with us).” -Matthew 1:23. It is the celebration of God’s presence among us. Jesus’ birth fufilled the promise of the birth of the Savior into our world. This is the message of Christmas. While the tradition itself and the exact date of Jesus’ birth may be debatable, the focus of the celebration could not be debated nor changed. Christmas is about Jesus and there is no other reason that could make it more joyous, more wonderful, and more meaningful than the fact that we celebrate Jesus!

Celebrate Jesus in Christmas. Of course, the delectable foods, the beautiful presents, and the jolly decorations around give us a different sense of excitement and thrill during Christmas. But the meaning of Christmas do not rest on these things. The joy we get when we spend Christmas with family and friends become more genuine when we celebrate the Lord Jesus Christ as the only reason for Christmas. “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”- 1 Corinthians 10:31. When we are having a great time with our family, when we are enjoying a meal with friends, when we do Christmas games, when we savor Christmas treats, and anything we do when we celebrate Christmas, we should do it with the intention of glorifying Jesus. So remember Jesus and keep Him the center of our Christmas holidays!
