Known and Chosen by God

God knows you even before you were conceived. How wonderful it is to know that God knows each one of us even before we were conceived! It dispels the feeling of being unloved. God truly loves us and knows us more than we know ourself. He knows for sure what is best for us because He is our Maker. He is the One who created us and who formed us according to His faithfulness and lovingkindness. Even if sin distorted us, His love, His grace, His wisdom, and His might never change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His perfect love and faithfulness remain the same even if sin destroyed perfection in humankind. So, whatever our situation now, we can be assured that His love, grace, and help is made available to us. He is always with us and He will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6).

You are not made by accident but for a purpose. When God called Jeremiah to be a prophet, this is what was told to him, “Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.’” -Jeremiah 1:4-5. You may not be called to be a prophet like Jeremiah, but I believe, each of us is created by God and formed by God even before we were conceived in the womb. Along with that, each of us has our own purpose in this life. We are created and known by God. Ultimately, we are here to live for the glory of our God. Jesus said, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” -Matthew 5:16. “for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” -1 Corinthians 6:20. And finally, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” -1 Corinthians 10:31. So, Whatever place on earth you are born into, whatever race or nationality, whatever status or condition, and family you belong, you are there because of God’s perfect wisdom and love. As you seek Him in your circumstance and need, He will guide you to a peaceful, joyful, and blessed life. Remember, everything else changes and are passing, but God is perfect and everlasting. You are being guided, held, and loved by the perfect God who loves you enough to give up His one and only Son Jesus Christ to die in your behalf so you could have an abundant life in Him (John 10:10).
